Poor girl. No one deserves that. You take away all her self-esteem at that tender age. I pray she will recover from this.

I think it was wrong for the parents to approve of such action. They should do the same thing wear a diaper and told to go up and down the street and see how they like it. To make a child do that just because of the grades is wrong they will be afraid of ever messing up around adults again. People really need to think about their actions before acting.

The parent went too far. The punishment does not even come close to fitting the violation.

Dear Mommy Dearest, this poor girl was bullied by her mother and boyfriend, big difference. AND might I add, we do not live in a world where we sit around and tolerate this bullying.

Exactly.

Thank you Bev! She is not holding a sign up saying "I make crappy grades." She was humiliated by these losers. Do we honestly have to spell out what defines abuse for you people? As far as teaching her a lesson, she will most likely vomit at the thought of doing homework from here on out. Poor girl.

Have you ever heard of emotional abuse?! This is disgraceful! What is this world coming to.

Some people are just stupid.

Not that I agree with what these parents did but I don't understand what law they broke. It's not like they beat the child like some do for bad grades. Maybe this was to teach her a lesson to do her homework. I would much rather embarrass the child than beat them.

To the "mom" who said public humiliation has been used for years: no mother in their right mind would subject their child to that. Any one who feels like this is appropriate punishment for a child in my eyes doesn't deserve to be called a mother or a father. I'm glad someone stepped in for these children before somethinpg much worse happened.

They didn't see what was wrong with shaving her head & publicly humiliating this poor girl? Maybe people are being born without souls ! I say keep all the kids away from these abusers 4ever !

Are you kidding me?!? Some people should not be parents! Maybe if she had a little more love and support she would have done better in school! That poor child

im assuming that the abuse has been going on for a while. we all know what type of people these are, we hear about them everyday in the news. poor child, at least shes safe for now.

While I don't necessarily agree with this course of action, I am curious about what laws were broken in the situation and why she needed to be arrested...public humiliation has been used for ages...
