Not that weird ! I grew up surrounded by hot springs or mineral springs & in the winter animals of all types seek them out for warmth & then get trapped ,even without the cabin or springs animals walk on the ice & break through & drown & no one realizes it until spring,summer & AFTER they have been drinking the water downstream for awhile oops. have found many deer,elk decomposing during spring summer hikes. If they are frozen why not just drag them out? I know we all like to blow s&:! Up, but geez, seems like an easier way?!
