You are not paying any attention to those who cannot have fluoride because of health reasons.
C'mon. We already can buy fluoride in our tooth paste. I don't want an industrial chemical flowing through my body. If you want fluoride, buy tooth paste!
I grew up in GA in the 70's. We had Fluoride in the water. Moved to MO where they had Fluoride in the water. No illnesses, healthy children. Kansas not so much. How barbaric. The government is just going to have to drag the state kicking and screaming into the 1970's, one populous at a time.
If they put fluoride in the water, anyone with thyroid and other medical conditions will not be able to drink the water. Shouldn't we just continue to educate people on good dental hygiene?
Not a single biological process has been shown to require fluoride. On the contrary there is extensive evidence that fluoride can interfere with many important biological processes. There is overwhelming scientific evidence to show that it causes cancer, thyroid & pineal gland damage, broken hips from brittle bones, lowered IQ, kidney disease, etc.
Agreed. This issue keeps coming up because someone stands to gain but it won't be the residents who have to use this water for everything (not just drinking). Residents who care will have to buy water or expensive filtering systems for baby formula and pets because fluoride isn't safe for them. This constant push for fluoridated water is often based on nothing more than an appeal to authority - a dentist supports it therefore I should too. No thanks.
There is no documented proof that flouride prevents tooth decay. Good hygiene and proper diet do! If an individual wants flouride, go to your dentist and have treatements but don't expect me to pay for something that you THINK is good. I am 65 and have every single tooth I was born with and yes, I take extremely good care of my teeth and NO I have never had a flouride treatment either. Go get educated on the subject!
Letting only "Wichita" residents vote on the floridation question is BS. I live in Kechi and we get Wichita water and I DO NOT want floride in my water. Take our money for the water and turn around and kick us in the teeth. Nice, real nice...
I drink tapwater every day, as do others who can't afford $1.00 a bottle for bottled water (which can have its own issues) Many eating establishments use tap water not only for drinking but for cooking, and they don't all have filtration systems (and there is no way for you to know if they do or don't).
Has anyone done a study on the amount of tap water people drink. I think it is a small amount these days.
If the City of Wichita wants this so much let them pay for it, smells alot like the Arena, when they could'nt get passed in Wichita it went to the County and I paid for somthing the benefits Wichita more than my community.
Just another example of the City of Wichita wanting to impose its ideals on those who have no say in the matter. I live in Valley Center, which purchases water from Wichita and I have no right in the matter, what BS.

As a person with a full set of dentures after most of my life here, a yes vote is a given. I jsut hope the loonies don't win this third time I have voted on the issue. I do not understand the group paranoia that has centered itself in this city for decades. OR how they consistently let themselves be led by the very rich members of the city who DON"T REALLY CARE ABOUT YOU!
DUE TO CITY LEGAL MUMBO JUMBLE OTHER CITIES MENTIONED CAN'T VOTE BUT YOU STILL HAVE A CHOICE TO SAVE YOUR WATER FROM POISON(OOPS FLUORIDE IF YOU WILL RALLY AROUND THE FLUORIDE FREE KANSAS FOLKS FIGHTING FLUORIDE IN WICHITA AND GET THE TRUTH OUT AND HELP DEFEAT ANY CHANCE IT HAPPENS. I AM SURE DONATIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. 50 DANGERS OF FLUROIDE HEALTH RISKS VS POSSIBLE UNSUBSTANTIATED PREVENTIVE TOOTH DECAY IS A NO BRAINER. VOTE NO AND OUTOFTOWNERS TELL YOUR WICHITA FRIENDS TO SAVE YOUR WATER AND VOTE NO TOO!
