A western Kansas man has died after crashing his motorcycle in Dodge City.

It happened in the 1100 block of W. Market around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Authorities said Gerard Bazan, 41, of Dodge City, was riding his motorcycle west, when he lost control and crashed. Bazan was thrown from his bike.

He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for blunt force trauma. Bazan was then transported to a Wichita hospital where he later died.

The accident remains under investigation.
