From what we learned in school our goverment was suppose to be a goverment for the people, by the people. This has not been the case for many many years. Now we vote a person into office who has his own agenda, votes for special intrest groups that only benafits a select few. Today it is more about the money than the needs of the people, weather national, state, or local. Their word of what they will do in office quickly changes once there. They become members of the good ole boy club, you support my bill I will support yours. So in short what is the use, both are probably not telling the truth, and both will do just what they want to when in office. If you dissagree tell me how many canadates has had a town hall meeting where they learned people something different went to vote what the people wanted.

18 percent will vote and everyone else will just whine about what is going on. Don't whine if you don't vote. If your candidate does not win, it might just be your fault!

Can you not do mail in ballots?

This is what the 'parties wanted' only registered party members can vote in this primary. Independents, like me, are not allowed. Kansas could save millions of dollars by having closed party caucases instead of Primaries. It also would eliminate the potential of voter fraud like people temporarily registering in opposition parties just to vote for non winning candidates as is happening in Kansas.

It is probably due to the fact that nobody cares anymore.

I vote in every election and I'm not a special interest or activist. One reason that a lot of people don't go out to vote in the primary, is because in the smaller communities there is only one person on the ballot. I go every time and it is that way a lot. I would encourage everyone to go to the poll because sometimes the election is decided in the primary because no one is running on the other ticket.

I do plan on voting in the primary. The sad thing is people do not even know or take the effort to find out which are moderate or conservative. I am trying to encourage others to do their duty but don't think it has been successful. In the November election I know I will probably vote for any candidate that is moderate. Religious affiliation will not influence my vote.

I will vote on Tue. although I think it is so wrong that I cannot vote in my own community any more and they make me drive 50 miles in order for me to do my civic duty. Makes me think they don't want people to vote.
