what a sicko! Punishment on these sick individuals should be a LOT harder then it is.....they should never be able to enjoy life or be in society again. He has FOREVER changed this poor girls life!!! No punishment can give her back all those years and take away the pain.

I would have gotten arrested for torture charges if that was my daughter who was abused. And for the baby in the story, my prayers go out for it as well. And IF the man they arrested is found guilty....I'd love to meet you one day.----From a father

I am aware of that....and I'm sorry you had to experience it. I would still defend my child against anyone...family member or not.

I was a victim of sexual assault at a young age. There are a combination of things that prevent you from reporting it. I blamed myself for so many years, tried to tell my own mother and she wouldn't believe me. I never felt secure, safe or felt loved enough, never felt protected from those who took advantage of me. It's hard to tell someone when you can't trust them. Men don't see how much damage they do to young girls not only physically but emotionally. I hope every young girl whose experience this will be strong to come forward to the police. I really wish I had known to do it along time ago.

Ladies, it is almost always someone well known to the family. A father, a sibling, an uncle or a close friend. I speak from experience as a survivor.

It's very easy to sit here and say what you would do but a whole different story when it actually happens to you.

If it were my daughter the headline would read "Mother Kills Man Who Molested Daughter." Of course it wouldn't have taken me 8 years to find out it was happening. @@

If this were my daughter the headline who have read "Mother Arrested and Suspect of Child Sex Crime in ICU" So awful that you can't even trust some of your own relatives. This poor girl, my thoughts are with her and hope she receives the help she will need to recover.

It said the man lived there, but did not state if the victim lived at the same address. It's possible she does not live with him.

Is there really a reason to disclose the address? Consider the child. How hard is it to figure out who has a 16 year old in your block!
