Belle Plaine Woman Dies In Kingman County Accident

A woman has died in a multiple vehicle accident in Kingman County. The accident happened at around 3:00 a.m. on U.S. Highway 54, just east of the town of Kingman.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said Angelica Ladd, 20, of Pretty Prairie was driving west on Highway 54, when her vehicle crossed the center line.

Another car, driven by 30-year-old Jennifer Reiling, of Belle Plaine, swerved to avoid the oncoming car. Both vehicles hit head on.

Relling was taken to a Kingman hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Ladd was transported to a Wichita hospital for treatment. She is listed in good condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
