they should let him go...people say that he will kill again. there is no evidence of that. if he shows true remorse then that should be enough for the parole board to set him free.

Law and order along with alot of crooked actions covered up. Anyway, they said that the only reason that this dude lived was because he was apart of some voodoo cult. As many times as he was capped, I don't see how he lived after that. You know Sean, not everyone has to live in a section 8 house and get welfare. But I am surprised that this cat is still alive in prison because most cop killers, child molesters and wife beaters have a slim chance on staying alive.

@ Free Him, Do the rest of us veterans a favor, and quit posting your jaded immoral views. You are making the rest of us veterans look bad. For anyone else reading this person's comments, you all can rest assured that this so called Army vet does not represent the values that the rest of us veterans hold high and dearly.

1st of all, to stereotype all law enforcement officers as "not the smartest, role crazy, power hungry thugs" is just like stereotyping all Mexicans as illegal immigrants, all blacks on welfare, and all bankers as thieves. That's not the case in any of these circumstances. 2nd of all, why call it a "life sentence" if they don't serve their entire life in punishment? If he were to be freed, does that mean his family will also be freed from the life sentence of growing old and growing up without their husband & father? I'm pretty sure not. Each case is to be determined individually, not group them all into a "one size fits all" category - and this is truly a case of a "life sentence" meaning a life sentence!

Cops have the attitude you see because of your attitude towards them. I have never been involved with any LEO being rude or anything towards me. Maybe the chips only land on their shoulders when they deal with people like you.

I say turn him loose. Then transport him to the KHP Station in Salina, 2:00AM, drop him off and everyone close their windows and turn up their TV's....so the "noise" will not distrub anyone!!!!!

It's not just because he killed a cop, but the manner in which he did it. My understanding (getting my info from someone personally involved in the case)is, after he shot the officer, he walked up to him, took out the policeman's pistol, and shot him again in the neck, point blank, in cold blood, with no remorse at all. Then after a high speed chase in which he crashed into another vehicle (which could have resulted in more deaths), he shot at more police officers. I have a feeling a lot of people posting on here would feel differently if it was their dad who was killed in cold blood for no reason whatsoever.

I hope you're his next victim, too.

He does. He's probably one of those who think everything should be legalized, too. He's killed most of his brain cells.

Seldom, if ever, 'seriously'. Maybe you and Jimmy can be the next murder victims, then the police won't even need to investigate who shot you, because who cares??

Are you really that stupid? Saying cops are liars, murderers, and thieves is like saying Army vets are alcoholics and drug users. Your comments only solidify that assumption.

Great response Trooper! If "free him" truly spent all that time in the Army, I would think he/she would have more respect for law enforcement. And the statement about us having to "foot the med bills" doesn't hold water either. If he were to get out of prison, it's going to be nearly impossible for him to find a job (good economy or bad) so we will still be footing the med bills. By the way, thanks for your service (military and law enforcement)!

cops are by far not the smartest human beings and are usually role crazy, power hungry thugs with chips on their shoulders just waiting to put people behind bars to make themselves feel better. sad but true. They always get second chances when they kill the unarmed and mow down little kids, why not this guy?
