I am so proud of my youngest son, seen here in light blue/dark blue shirt & camo shorts, for participating in this community activity. There's so much 'bad' in the world that stuff like this brings a tear to your eye, with the hope that humanity will not destroy itself. I can say I know darned near everyone in this vid, & I ask that God may Bless them all.

I have helped clean up tornado destruction before and my getting hurt by stepping on a nail or tripping over debris didn't even enter my mind.

I was born in Harper, grew up in another small town nearby and now live in Wichita; don't blame all Wichitan's because of one scared bunny. This former small town girl brought those values here to Wichita as did a few others I dare say. There are good people here, too. Just feel sorry for "me again."

And this is why I am glad I don't live anywhere near Wichita! We still have compassion and would never dream of sueing a neighbor if our child "tripped over debris"! Are you kidding me!?

I truly pity you. What would happen if the tornado directly affected you? You would probably be the first to whine about no one wanting to help. Just remember, as you sow, you shall reap.

It is a good feeling to see stories such as this. Neighbors helping neighbors because it's the right thing to do. I am very glad that the school district allowed this activity despite "legal issues". The lesson that these kids learned was invaluable.

people really know how to ruin such a good thing.im pretty sure the kids and parents were made aware of the dangers.but really makes the kids appreciate what they have and make a good name for them

That's the beauty of a small town. These kids and their parents want to help out the families affected. Suing is not something that they have to worry about. Especially in times like these. Sorry that is the first thing that comes to your mind other than the greatness that these students are doing and the willingness of serving others.

I'm not sure I'd want my child out cleaning up. What happens when they step on a nail or trip over debris. I would assume this is not something the school or propery owners would want to be sued over.

Makes me so proud to be born a Kansan! I want to applaud the School District for allowing the kids to help. It would never have been allowed here in Pennsylvania because of legal issues and such. I can't wait to move home again. Big giant thank yous go to all the students who helped and fully realized the magnitude of the situation. God Bless You All!
