Four Wichita organizations have received a grant to promote oral health programs.

Dress For Success, E.C. Tyree Dental Clinic, Wichita Area Technical College and the Sedgwick County Health Department were awarded $2,500 mini-grants through the Champions Project.

Each organization submitted proposals for oral health programs, equipment or supplies. The organization with the most votes through the voice your choice online contest received the funds to implement initiatives.

The Johnson County Community College Dental Hygiene Program and the Douglas County Dental Clinic also received $2,500 grants. Six other organizations in Kansas received 100 toothbrush kits.

“All 12 organizations do an incredible job bettering the oral health of Kansans through their initiatives,” said Karen Finstad, executive director, Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation.

The grants were made possible through Delta Dental of Kansas. Grant funds totaling $4.8 million have benefited more than 800,000 Kansas since 2003.
