AMEN to your comment. They keep getting more and more top heavy with Cessna goofs and get rid of the workers. they keep sending stuff to Mexico that they can't build and the spend ungodly hours to fix it once it get here and call that cost effective. The announcement about how the union saved the jobs in Plt#1 was a joke to. The union didn't save Jack it was because Mexico could not do the jobs, so we had to build them here. The people that should be suffering are not the ones that should suffer

Wonder what it's like to be the upper crust in a big company and make all that money while the lower crust lose their jobs and retirements and be so totally for given for all the lives you distroy because of your greed. Do you think thay will ever be brought to judgement for this hateful life they are causing others???

I worked for Beech/Hawker for 32c years as an average employee pounding rivets and I made under $50000.00 with no overtime a year. Now I am medically retired and I only get $700.00 a month for retirement.I'm sure the way upper management gets 6 figures but not the average Joe. he was lieing big!!!!

What is ironic with this whole situation is that HBC made sure all of the leaders got thier backpay and also a raise before going in to bankruptcy proceedings. During the last few years HBC has operated much like the Obama adminstration spending money and wasting monet while no making any. Then they go and change out most of the upper management with all the Cessna castoffs from the Pelton fall out and HBC continues to spiral out of control while Cessna has rebounded. Finally HBC will try to get out of the reitrement committment claiming hardship and all the current employees will pay the price while the leaders continue to get fat, dumb, and happy.

The only way for HBC to come out this bankruptcy as a strong company they will need to change the business model and also some top leadership positions. The saes force and Special missions teams are way to large for the current and anticipated future business. Even if they were to win the AT6-A contract they need to streamline this part of the business. The one thing they must remember is the people on the floor pounding the rivets and building the A/C need to be appreciated and if they want to retain and hpoefully some day add people they need to keep the retirement whole for the current retirees and the future retirees. This is key to thier future, don't mess with the retirement.

that is a bold faced lie! 51.00 per year x years of service....simple,40 years x 51.00= 2040.00 a month...last time i checked that was only 24,480.00 a year....hmmmm check your fact before posting some B.S. some guy at the mall told you!.... WOW!

Those are large corporations whos profits are in the trillions and they shaft its hard working employees while CEOs who do nothing reap the full the benefits. Individual celebrities and athletes have unique skills sets and bring in their worth, though some of value that may be arguable.

Even if you go back and read these articles that have been on the news it tells you how it will be managed .

thr current pension pays $55 per year of service per month so to make 120thousand a year the employee would have to work 182 years before retiring. I see why all you misinformed people bag on us. so tell george washington he is misinformed.

Why does everyone posting think that the airplane manufactures make so much money? Why is it that TV, Movie, and Sports people making money for doing what they do, is rewarded so much more than someone making something that could cost you your life?
Posted by: Mark on May 6, 2012 at 06:09 AM

This is not even close to being true. I worked at HBC for 39 years and my retirement is no where close to six figures and I made six figures while working at HBC.
Posted by: Anonymous on May 5, 2012 at 07:21 PM

That has to be a lie, who gets six figures a year for not working? Maybe the upper management, but not the hard working blue collars who put in 20 years. They don't even make that much working 1000 hours of overtime.

I met with a guy at the mall who told me that the average retrired worker from Beach Rantheon makes over 120 thousand dollers a year witch I found to be awlfully hi amount but the guy dosen;t lie.
