I had my TV on last night just so that I could keep up with the forecast. One of the forecasters said that if it was severe and high risk then they would do a continually broadcast. Other than that they were keeping the public on alert JUST IN CASE. Can't believe you people that complain just because it interferes with your TV watching. For one I would rather have these types of alerts so that I do have a plan instead of running around at the last minute trying to figure out what to do.

Seriously people, why do we think KAKE is only for Wichita or Sedgwick County? Most of the state relies on the Wichita stations for weather coverage. Life and property in Aetna is just as important as life and property in Wichita and just as important as living on a ranch miles from the nearest "town". Thank you KAKE and the other news stations for not ignoring anything past the borders of the population centers.

If that town is in the viewing area, they have just as much right to be covered as you do in a bigger town. RURAL KANSAS exists too and deserve to be safe just like you do!

Why are you staying on during dancing with the stars... Other stations are just on during the commercial. For a storm that has produced no tornado for some time.... We should be able to watch what is scheduled. Not a radar!
