Woman's Body Found Lying In The Road

Wichita police were called out to Grove Street and 8th Street Friday evening, after neighbors reported a woman was lying in the street. Officers responded and tell us they found an adult female, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, police say they are still actively investigating and tell us they can't say for sure how the woman was killed or the nature of her injuries. When asked if the accident appeared to be a hit and run, police said they did not know.
They are looking for a white vehicle that was spotted in the area around the time the woman's body was discovered, they believe the driver might be a witness or have more information.
Police say the woman did not have identification on her.
