Mail theft is one of the easiest and most common ways thieves obtain sensitive information for ID theft. Most people don't even realize when their mail has been stolen, unless police find it on the side of the road, etc. since they typically leave the junk mail. The best protection? Use a secure locking mailbox like Mail Boss to keep your mail safe from would-be identity thieves. This is the first defense against mail-ID theft. Of course never send checks or other sensitive mail from an unsecured mailbox. Bring them directly to the post office or use online bill pay - it's more secure. And always shred sensitive documents (most of which come in the mailbox) before discarding them. But remember, you can't shred what you don't get, and it's easier to steal from a mailbox than the dump!
Mail Boss is available in your local Ace Hardware, Orscheln, and online.

it doesn't matter what race they are. if they broke the law then they must pay. first thing they need to do is pay for new mailboxes.

Hey mailbox, you do have to pay for it. We all pay for it in higher interest rates and taxes

These two, Shanna Coley Menne and Raymond J Jones IV, Have been doing this for a long time as well as being hooked on meth and selling it. They have been arrested and locked up at least 5 times since December and keep getting let out to do it again. What is wrong with our legal system? I know they both have no regard for their children, family and friends let alone people they don't know. I know Shanna's EX Husband, who is a law abidding good man, is just sick to his stomach if he knows about this and is wondering how she can continue to use his name. I say lock them up forever. Society is a much better place without them in it!!!!

Sounds more like a white trash meth head kind of crime to me. Just goes to show you that you can't move to the outskirts of town and think you are safe from the "brothers and sisters" lol. In fact rural and suburb homes are more of a target. They have stuff worth stealing.

Thieves went down our street a few times now. Weird seeing every ones mail thrown to the ground. They got my credit card statement and the 1st place they used my number was a someplace in Augusta. The rest was online. Reported it, but haven't heard anything back yet. Luckily, I didn't have to pay.

I believe these two has been locked up longer then that.

These two are not brother and sister but Bubba could be Shanna's brother. Let me say these two aren't the only mail thiefs so be aware.

Tax time is rounding up and these thiefs may be hoping that they can latch onto checks for Tax refunds.

@Bubba
Who's 'brothers and sisters' are you referring to?
Be specific, and then when their photos are revealed you can assume 'brothers and sisters' who normally don't have any desire to be around white rural folks for fear of getting shot just may not have been the culprits.
Or maybe, not at all related to the original story?
I dunno, maybe read the story.
"Brothers and Sisters" aren't standard travelers in rural Kansas areas.
Brothers and sisters and criminals, however, are plentiful.
But yeah: boobie trap mailboxes so you can injure mail carriers.
Your kind is the reason I never opted for doing mail delivery when I worked for the USPS.
Boobie trapping, by the way, sounds really meth-dealer-y to the average person. But by all means, encourage people to try it, Bubba.
That will guarantee that rural delivery is suspended and turned over to postal offices only.
I can see you never retired from the post office.
Big hint, Bubba: you also don't booby trap your house. Just in case you fall, get injured, get attacked, get stuck under storm damage, or trapped in a fire...because...and stay with me here...it might kill those who try to help you.
UGH, where do people like you COME FROM?!

Wonder if these two are responsible for stealing my mail out of my mailbox about 3 weeks ago? Worrying about your personal information isn't a good feeling, and having WPD just give you a case number and no follow-up doesn't help ease the worry.

Shanna Menne & Raymond Johnson? Sounds like the brothers & sisters are making their way out to rial areas checking out mailboxes for some quick cash. Maybe ought to boobie trap the mailboxes and let the mailman know how to reset it.
