Bush spent billions of tax payer dollars to bail out the banks and wall street because of all the fraud that was going on with the banks and real estate appraisers. A lot of they put a lot of money in their pockets and left the tax payers will the bills. Wall street dosen't want anybody looking over their shoulder so they can work the next scam they dream up.

the feds stopped a lot of bank regulations in 1999, why should the states pay to regulate the banks if the feds dont want to?
