Hutchinson Standoff Forces Apartment Complex Evacuation

A brief standoff in Hutchinson forced the evacuation of an apartment complex Friday morning, but it ended peacefully.
Hutchinson Police and the Special Operations Unit were called to the Ridgewood Apartments at 32nd Terrace and Garden Parkway about 3 a.m. Authorities say the situation began as a disturbance between two women.
One of the women involved refused to come out of the apartment and other residents of the complex were relocated to a nearby church.
