Contest To Name Wichita Park Ponies

Reporter: KAKE News

Thursday, May 3, 2012

Wichita Parks officials are asking for input in naming two new ponies living at a south Wichita park.

The ponies are housed at O.J. Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Blvd.

Participants are asked to pick up a pony coloring sheet at the Watson Park concession stand or a City of Wichita recreation center. They must color the sheets and write the pony’s suggested name on the sheet.

Two winners will be selected by a panel of judges. Winners will be announced on July 6. Each winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Wal-Mart and will be photographed with the pony they named.

The contest is open to children under 12. Completed coloring sheets must be returned to O.J. Watson Park or a Wichita recreation center by July 1.
