Hutchinson Man Arrested On Child Abuse Charge

A Hutchinson man has been arrested on a child abuse charge. The Hutch Post reports 23-year-old Lloyd Parker Jr. was arrested on Friday on a warrant stemming from a child in need of care case filed in January.
Details of the incident have not been released, but District Attorney Keith Schroeder told the Hutch Post that the child involved suffered what he called "a cruel beating." The District Attorney's office filed the charge and a warrant was issued for Parker's arrest earlier this month.
Parker is being held at the Reno County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
