For the second straight year, Mason Lester, and 8th grade student at Andover Middle School sold the most Entertainment Books in a school-wide competition, won an iPod Touch, and donated it to a child at Wesley Medical Center.
Lester says he came up with the idea of passing the gift to a child suffering from cancer after watching his grandfather battle leukemia.
"I just can't imagine being a kid and having cancer," Lester said. "I think this will just make them smile and know people care."
This year, 11 year old, Taylor Heersche, who is battling cancer was the lucky recipient.
"I'm really excited," she said. "It's going to be a lot of fun."
Heersche already knows what she wants to hear on her iPod... Classic Rock loaded with lots of music from her favorite artist, ZZ Top.
