There are hundreds of Kansas kids who have started the school year without one very important thing, a family.
One of those kids is a bright 14-year-old named Edwin.
It’s like you’re walking into a sewer pipe when you walk into the water works display at Exploration Place. 14-year-old Edwin couldn’t get enough of it
This bright high school freshman soaked up the information like a sponge. Even though his favorite subject is not science, it is shop.
Edwin has lot of friends. He is a very nice kid and although he is shy with his smiles, when they happen, they are golden. And after playing with the display that tells you how much water we use daily, you could tell he was helpful too.
Edwin says he washes dishes by hand to help around the house. He says he’s done that in all his foster homes – eight in 10 years.
His next home he says, he wants to last forever.
