We didn't need to tell these two little girls twice to start tumbling. Once in the Skywalkers Trampoline and Tumbling center in east Wichita, they wanted to do everything on every pad and trampoline.
Five year-old Sariah is already in kindergarten. Four year-old Ariah loves her preschool. They both clearly love tumbling around. In fact, it was very difficult to get them to sit down for a few minutes to talk.
Yes. These are busy girls. They like soccer, sparkly headbands, and animals. And on this play day, they weren't going to let me get away with just watching. No. They told me to stop asking questions and just come to play with them.
This day, the girls are joyful and energetic, like every child should be. I ask them if they want to stay with a mom and dad. They answer an enthusiastic, "Forever!" And, although they can't quite put it into words, they know what they want.
And, when I asked Ariah and Sariah what they pray for at night. Well, they don't ask God for anything. They just say, 'thank you.' "God is great, God is good. Thank you for this beautiful night. Thank you for the shiny moon. Thank you for the pretty snow. And thanks for all the stars. Amen."
