There are hundreds of Kansas kids who will begin their school year without one very important thing. It's not school supplies, uniforms or even lunch money. They want a forever family.
One of those kids is 12-year-old Michelle. Sweet Michelle was a little shy at first when we met at a local salon for a little beauty makeover, but her cute smile and decisive ways soon won over everyone.
Michelle will be a seventh grader this year and looks forward to running track. She is a creative type and wants to be a hair stylist when she grows up.
Michelle has been in two different homes since she entered foster care a year ago. She wants a family where she can find love, care and respect and parents who can take the time to listen to her.
