There are hundreds of children in Kansas who will spend the holidays without a family. One of those children is a foster kid named Darean. Darean is wonderfully talented, extremely shy and as sweet as they come.

In Susan's Kids I want to introduce you to him. Darean is a teenager with compassion and dreams. He is a heck of a basketball player, an energetic guy on the court and in the classroom.

In fact, Darean is a sophomore in high school who is averaging an A-plus in history right now. But don't expect him to tell you that without being asked. Darean is very shy and modest about his abilities.

The 15-year-old has only been in foster care for two years but he has already been in two homes. Darean would like his next home to last forever. He would like a Christian family that will share his strong belief in God.
