WICHITA, Kan.-- A woman was found stabbed in the neck and abdomen in downtown Wichita.
Officers responded to a call about a cutting on the 200 block of S. Commerce early Sunday morning. When they arrived they found a 28-year-old woman with stab wounds to her neck and abdomen.
She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Sgt. Dwain Diehl said that they later learned that the incident happened at the 1100 block of N. Broadway.
the victim tells police she went to her friend's hotel where she was confronted by the suspect. The woman says she was hit several times in the face and stomach by the suspect.
The woman told police she got a ride from a friend to the location she was found and once realizing she was stabbed she called 911.
Police currently do not have a suspect.
