WICHITA, Kan. - Emergency workers discovered a woman drowned in a bathtub inside a Southeast Wichita house Friday morning. Authorities believe the cause was medical.
The discovery occurred at a home in the 2000 block of South Terrace Drive around 1:15 a.m. The victim is described as a 37-year-old woman; no name was released Friday morning.
Friends of the victim were emotionally upset about what happened, blocking photographers from even shooting the street where the drowning occurred.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports about ten people die in the U.S. each day from unintentional drowning.
