A Haviland, Kansas woman was killed when she was thrown from her vehicle in Pratt County this morning. The accident was reported before 10:30 on Southwest 20th Street, southwest of Pratt.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said a truck driven by Patricia Vasquez, 35, tried to move to avoid a car coming in the other direction. The truck hit a sand ridge, entered the ditch and rolled two times. Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene.
