A 30-year-old woman is in jail after a police chase in northeast Wichita Saturday morning. It started just after 10 a.m. in the 2300 block of North Poplar Street.

Police say they were called to a disturbance in the area and found the woman in a stopped vehicle and parked at both ends of the car.

The woman then rammed both patrol cars and fled, causing one officer to jump out of the way. She drove in circles around the area, reaching speeds of 70 mph, and allegedly struck other patrol cars.

Tires were punctured on the fleeing vehicle. The woman continued driving on the rims until her car overheated and stopped. She was tazered and arrested.

She is being held in the Sedgwick County jail on multiple charges.
