Wichita, Kan. -- A Wichita man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison after he was convicted Thursday of transporting child pornography.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 40-year-old Joshua David Bellah pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of interstate transportation of child pornography. In his plea, Bellah admitted that on October 22 of 2013, he traveled from Oklahoma to Kansas with laptops containing several thousand images of minors engaged in sexually explicit activity. He used a variety of free email accounts to obtain and exchange child pornography while he was traveling as an over-the-road truck driver.
U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom commended the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart for their work on the case.
