WICHITA, Kan. -- UPDATE:
Wichita police continue to investigate after a report of a possible officer impersonator in the city.
On Monday, a woman said a car stopped her and a man identified himself as a law enforcement officer. The man was in an unmarked car. He got personal information from the woman's drivers license. The woman didn't get a description of the car, but she called 911 thinking something was fishy.
After investigating further, Wichita police found records showing there was a legitimate car stop at that location on South Seneca at that time and the person who made the stop was with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
