WICHITA, Kan. — A Wichita man lost his wallet and part of his finger during a theft in south Wichita overnight.
Around 12:30 a.m. Friday, a 31-year-old man saw someone taking his wallet from his car in the 800 block of South Broadway. As the suspect got into his own car and began to drive away, the 31-year-old reached into his window.
Police say the suspect then rolled up the window, trapping the other man's hand. He was able to get his hand free, but not before losing the tip of his left index finger.
He drove himself to an area hospital and has since been treated and released. Police have not located a suspect or the victim's wallet.
