WICHITA, Kan. — Four suspects are in custody after being chased by the man they allegedly robbed.

It began around midnight at a northeast Wichita home in the 4300 block of North Linden. Police said a 29-year-old man was working in his garage when 4 suspects drove up, got out and held him at gunpoint.

They forced him into his bedroom where his wife and young son were sleeping, then ransacked the room. Police said they stole a coin collection and other items before leaving.

The victim then got into his own vehicle and chased them. He called 911 as the suspects reportedly shot at him with a handgun and shotgun.

Police caught up and pulled the suspects' SUV over on a ramp at 9th and I-135. Two men ran from the vehicle, while the two others remained inside. Officers were able to take all four into custody.

The stolen items were returned to the victim. No one was hurt.
