Wichita man arrested for threatening girlfriend with samurai sword

A Wichita man is in jail, accused of threatening his girlfriend with a sword and injuring two others.

It happened just after 4 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment complex in the 3900 block of West 2nd Street North.

A 49-year-old woman called police saying her boyfriend threatened to kill her with a samurai sword. She also said that when her 24-year-old friend stepped in, the suspect cut that person in the face with a pocket knife. She said he then punched her 19-year-old daughter.

Police arrived and arrested the 52-year-old man. He was booked for aggravated assault DV and DV battery.

No one was seriously hurt.
