WICHITA, Kan. -- Many restaurants airing the Wichita State game were at capacity Saturday afternoon.
Larry Bud's Bar and Grill on the west side of town was turning people away because there was no more seating. Christa Markley was there because it was one of her only options for watching the game.
"We don't have cable at home, so we are coming out here to watch," Markley said, "but we love our shockers and so we wouldn't miss a game."
Nearly every Television at Larry Bud's was carrying the game, with the exception of a few sets playing the end of the K-State game. The WSU game lasted almost two hours and when the final buzzer rang out, the crowd inside cheered.
"It's just exciting, it is a whole lot of fun, everyone around us, all yelling and screaming, it's just great," bar goer Steve Butcher said.
The Shockers won 67 to 42 against Missouri State. WSU will take on Indiana State tomorrow afternoon. Anyone wanting to get out and watch the game away from home should arrive early because the game is for the MVC championship so seating at bars and restaurants might be hard to come by.
