A Wichita man is recovering after he told police he was attacked by another man with a guitar.

The disturbance at the Open Door shelter, located at 402 East 2nd Street North around 1:45 Tuesday.

The 48-year-old victim told police that he strummed a guitar as he was walking by, angering its owner. He said the suspect was drunk, and hit him over the head with the guitar several times.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he received staples for multiple five to six-inch cuts.

Police arrested the 47-year-old suspect. His guitar was broken during the incident.
