A man is in jail, caught allegedly slashing tires early this morning.
It happened at about 1 a.m. in the 200 block of North Washington in Old Town.
A police officer spotted a person acting suspiciously in a nearby parking lot, and walked over. As the officer approached the man, he saw four cars with slashed tires.
The officer questioned, then arrested the 24-year-old man. A knife was also recovered.
Police believe there may have been more cases of slashed tires that they're unaware of, and ask that any other victims come forward.
