Jesse Watson shows us the cell phone video.
"You see he's not giving me a chance to get out of the vehicle, " said Watson. "I was trying to block punches."
It was recorded by a friend who was in the car with Watson when he says he was hit at least 10 to 15 times by a Wichita police detective.
"In the video, I'm begging, I'm not talking, I'm pleading with him for him to stop hitting me," said Watson.
Watson says it all began after he and his friends were returning from the liquor store on Rock Road. He says he looked in his rear view mirror to see a man in an unmarked car holding a gun.
"He asked me what I did on rock road," said Watson. "I was scared. When I went to answer him he hit me."
Watson has posted a still picture on his Facebook page, saying he wants to get the word out.
"I thought my jaw was broken," he said. "There was blood and saliva running from my mouth. It was brutality at it's highest form."
The Wichita Police Department gave KAKE News a statement says "We are aware of the incident and it's under investigation by our Professional Standards Department."
Watson was arrested for rudeness and assaulting a law enforcement officer. He has hired an attorney.
