If you visit the Walgreens at Central and Maize most Saturday mornings, you'll be greeted by one very special young man.
"I love helping customers. I just love working and doing what I do," said Craig Phillips, Walgreens customer associate.
Phillips is in charge of straightening the candy in the store and greeting customers. He has worked at Walgreens for five years.
Phillips also has a learning disability.
His manager Matt Combs said his employee takes pride in straightening his aisle and has a strong work ethic.
On Thursday, Combs was among business leaders in Wichita who want to find better ways to hire those with disabilities.
It was the first public meeting for the Business Leaders Network.
The guest speaker was Keith Wiedenkeller, the Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer of AMC Entertainment.
Part of AMC's FOCUS program employs people with Autism. FOCUS stands for Furthering Opportunities to Cultivate Untapped Strengths.
The next Business Leadership networking opportunity is at Carlos O'Kelleys on October 15.
