WICHITA, Kan. — Scattered showers and storms on the menu for KAKEland through the long holiday weekend. An unsettled weather pattern is the result of a large slow moving area of low pressure. This are of low pressure will provide rain chances through the weekend as it moves out of the Four Corners Region and into the Southern Plains.
The majority of storms will not be overly rowdy but we can't rule out a few brief severe storms that produce large hail and damaging wind. Remember all storms producing lightning are dangerous and if you can hear thunder you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
