WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita police say four people are in jail on kidnapping and robbery charges after a man was found beaten and in his underwear on the city's north side.
Sgt. Ed Brower says officers responded around 6:15 p.m Saturday to the area of 17th Street North and Topeka. When they arrived on scene, they found a 23-year-old man who had been beaten and was in his underwear.
"I saw this guy just walking down the street. He was stumbling and he seemed very disoriented. He was wearing a pair of boxers and socks," said WSU student James Deckard, who says he saw the man and called 911. "He was holding his head. I was very concerned for him."
The man told police he was taken by force and had some property stolen. Sgt. Brower says he sustained only minor injuries.
Officers later located and arrested three men, ages 18, 40 and 41, and a 19-year-old woman. They were booked for aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
No names have been released.
