WPD: Homeowner Arrested For Pulling Gun On Gas Co. Employee

A northwest Wichita homeowner was arrested last night after allegedly pulling a gun on a gas company employee.

According to police, an employee with the Kansas Gas Service was dispatched last night to check on a possible gas leak at a home in the 3400 block of West Crystal Beach, near 53rd and Meridian..

When he arrived around 9:20 p.m., police said the 55-year-old man who lives there came out with a gun and pointed it at the employee's head, threatening to kill him.

The gas service worker called 911 and when officers arrived, they arrested the homeowner for aggravated assault with a firearm. No one was hurt.
