Wichita Police now have cell phone video, taken the night a man was killed and six people were injured in a shooting in Old Town.
A Wichita Police captain confirmed to KAKE News that video shows the disturbance that led up to the deadly shooting. It was given anonymously to a local musician who then put it online.
Twenty minutes into the video, posted by local musician Dirty UA, a message pops up saying "My heart goes out to the victims and their relatives...I apologize for putting valuable information at the end of the show."
Police confirm that the video that follows shows what happened in Old Town on September 22nd. A man in a white tank top can be seen getting worked up and can be heard screaming at someone.
The man shooting the video says it still looks like a fight is about to break out. Seconds later, 12 gunshots ring out. At one point, it looks like the phone, and the man holding it, drop to the ground.
The video then stops. Later, he starts shooting again and a crowd of people can be seen surrounding one of the shooting victims.
As the man behind the cell phone starts to leave Old Town, police are shown at the scene and more emergency responders can be heard headed to the area.
Police say they have the video and are using it in their investigation.
