UPDATE: Vehicles, other items stolen from City of Wichita facility

WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita Police are searching for suspects in the theft of numerous items from a city facility.

Sometime between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday, a number of items were stolen from a City of Wichita facility in the 5300 block of South Meridian.

The thief or thieves stole a white 2007 Chevrolet pickup (similar to one in photo) and tandem axle trailer with City of Wichita markings, with Kansas tag 69402. Also taken was a second truck, since recovered, a Bobcat utility vehicle, a Stihl brand edger, Stihl brand power pruner, three Stihl chainsaws, four Stihl brand backpack leaf blowers, 7 Stihl brand grass trimmers and a red Craftsman toolbox containing various tools.

Police say the loss is upwards of $100,000 and believe multiple suspects were involved.
