Monday marks the first day of enrollment for U.S.D. 259 students. Parents can go to the district's website to print off and complete the required enrollment forms ahead of time and return them to their child's school.
New this fall, all schools will have consistent enrollment times. The consistent times will make it more convenient for parents who enroll multiple children at different schools. The enrollment times are:
Monday, July 30, 9 a.m. --3 p.m.
Tuesday, July 31, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug 1, 12 - 7 p.m.
Thursday, Aug 2, 12 - 7 p.m.
The Wichita Public Schools' Magnet, Transportation, Student Records, Nutrition Services and Help Desk offices will remain open during the evening hours to support schools and families while they enroll.
Parents of returning students can also enroll online to complete standard enrollment forms, pay for enrollment fees and school meals, and fill out free and reduced price lunch forms. Parents will need a Parent Assist log on account for their child/children. After completing the common enrollment documents, parents will be linked to their child's school website to receive school-specific enrollment information, including school supplies and fees. Parents will still be asked to come to their child's school to receive other information, including schedules and to get their student IDs. If parents do not have a Parent Assist account, they need to contact their child's school. If parents have questions, they can call the Online Enrollment Information line at 973-4216.
Other enrollment information, including school supplies, schools with standardized dress, immunization requirements can also be found on the district's website.
The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, August 15 with a half-day orientation for 6th and 9th grade students on August 14.
