WICHITA, Kan. -- Two men in their 20s were hurt in a drive-by shooting early Saturday morning in north Wichita.

Officers were at the QuikTrip at 21st and Arkansas around 2:30 a.m. when a man flagged them down, saying he had two people in his vehicle who had been shot.

One man was shot in the left leg, the other in the left foot. Both were taken by EMS to the hospital with "relatively minor injuries," said Sgt J.D. Swanson.

He said the police soon determined that a drive-by shooting had happened just down the street in the 2700 block of N. Arkansas.

Police say 7 people, ranging in age from 18 to 33, were standing outside of an apartment complex there. The witnesses say the shots were fired from a white Crown Victoria, approximately 1995 model.

The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
