Kansas law enforcement officers are searching for a Topeka Correctional Facility inmate who went missing while out on work release.

Corrections officials say Kasandra Morris, 23, disappearance was discovered Friday when officials say she failed to return from her shift at the Topeka Work Release Center.

Morris' departure from custody lead prison officials to do spot checks on other inmates who were out on work release. On Saturday, they discovered Debbie McAfee, 57, was also missing.

Officials say McAfee turned herself into authorities approximately three hours after her disappearance was discovered. Morris is still at large.

Morris is 5'7" tall and weighs 146 pounds. She was serving time on theft, burglary and fraud convictions. Officials say she should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information about Morris' whereabouts is asked to call the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-572-7463, or local law enforcement.
