UPDATE: Monday, February 4, 2013

Randy Storms was a quadriplegic confined to a wheelchair, but that didn't stop him and his wife Suzy.

"Randy and Suzy had the ability to see into people and see brokenness," said friend Jennifer Shively. "Instead of looking at people, they saw into them."

The Storms worked closely with youth groups, like Young Life, around the county, sharing their faith. At Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Randy and Suzy ran the 2:42 young adult ministry program.

But Sunday afternoon, the couple who lived together through so much, died together. Police say Randy must have suffered a medical condition. The car veered off Central and rolled into this culvert killing them both.

"You long to have more conversations with him, and learn more from him," said Associate Pastor at Eastminster, Paul Bammel. "He pointed us to the hope of Jesus Christ."

Friends of the Storms have set up a memorial wall at Harvest Bread Company at Central and Woodlawn, where anyone can post their thoughts, memories and pictures.

"The reason they did what they did, we celebrate where they are today and the fact that they will never have to spend a day apart, is a celebration," said Shively.

"It's very healing for people to have an outlet to express their impact," she said, "To his children and grandchildren, it's the legacy he has left for them."

Services are pending.
