UPDATE: Two Critical Following ATV Crash In Butler County

The Butler County Sheriff's Office is investigating a ATV crash that sent two people to a Wichita hospital.

The accident happened shortly before 9 p.m. at 10502 SE Pickrell Road just south of the junction of 77 Highway and Highway 54/US 400.

The sheriff's office tells KAKE News that a 24-year-old El Dorado man was riding northbound on the ATV when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The ATV then collided with a fence, throwing off the the man and his passenger, an 18-year-old Andover woman.

Both were taken by Butler County EMS to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition. Their names have not been released.
