Today will be the last day that Newton city crews collect tree limbs and debris from recent summer storms.
As of Monday, crews collected a total of 6,382 cubic yards of limbs and debris from storms that have impacted the area since late June. Today, they will be completing curb collection efforts on the north end of the city.
The city also hired a local contractor, Goering Enterprises, to assist with trucking debris to the burn pile.
