A Tennessee semi truck driver has died following an accident in western Kansas. Kansas Highway Patrol officials say it happened Wednesday in Meade County on U.S. 54 at the Highway 98 junction.
Investigators say Herman Anderson, Jr., 67, of Bristol, Tenn., was driving eastbound on U.S. 54 when he lost control of his truck and went off the road. The semi struck railroad tracks and jackknifed.
Anderson was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. The accident is under investigation.
