UPDATE: Wednesday, May 8, 2013

The fourth suspect held in connection to the murder of 19-year-old Jordan Turner has been released from jail.

According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, the 18-year-old woman who was released "could still be involved," but has not yet been charged.

A spokesman for the district attorney's office wouldn't say why she was freed, only that the case is still under investigation.

She was one of four people initially arrested in Turner's death. The others were charged yesterday with first degree murder.

Three people arrested in connection to the shooting death of Jordan Turner.

Kristofer Wright, Ebony Nguyen and Eric Jackson were all charged with first degree murder during their first court appearance Tuesday in Sedgwick County District Court.

A fourth suspect hasn't been charged yet. She is still being held in jail on a first degree murder charge. It's not clear why she did not make a first appearance.

The four are suspected of being involved in the death of Jordan Turner. Turner's body was found last Wednesday by a farmer near 127th East and Pawnee. He had been shot at least twice on or around March 31st in the field where his body was discovered.

Authorities say Turner knew the suspects, one of whom is a documented gang member.

Turner's father had reported him missing on April 6th, after his son left their home on March 30th - the day before investigators say he was killed.

He said his son had a promising football career. He had been a football player at Wichita South High School, and also played at Coffeyville Community College as well as Arizona Western College.

Sheriff's Office said this is the first reported homicide in the unincorporated areas of Sedgwick County in 2013.

Preliminary hearings for the three are scheduled for May 21. Bonds have been set at $1 million.
